Coming attractions . . . . I have photos from Australia!  And when I get really ambitious maybe I'll put up photos from San Francisco, San Diego and Montreal . . . but just a few.   

I went downunder to work on a project in Sydney, Australia and spent a total of 6 months down there in 1995-96.  I really enjoyed my time in Australia, when I wasn't working, LOL.    I took the opportunity to use some vacation time for travelling before returning to Dallas.  Outside of Sydney, I managed to see Melbourne with a drive along the Great Ocean Road, Canberra, the Blue Mountains,  the Great Barrier Reef (Queensland/Cairns/Douglas area) and Tasmania (Hobart, Launcestown).   I even got to see a real Tasmania devil and they aren't as lovable as the cartoon character that we have seen on the TV.

The photos I took on my Australian adventure were from my old Pentax 110 camera.   The film format was smaller and the camera was quite small too.  I've always liked the convenience of the little automatic cameras and didn't want to fool with a 35mm.   Now I'm toting around a small Sony digital, which makes it easier for posting to the internet because I don't have to transfer them to a digital format!  I have a huge stack of photos to scan for posting, but I think I need to spend more time reviewing to be a bit more selective in my choices.

The view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge was taken from the window of my apartment in North Sydney, which also overlooked Luna Park (you can just see the entrance in the middle, bottom part of the photo).
